Welcome to The Wandering Rose! My name is Tonia Soteros, and I'm thrilled to share my journey with you. With nearly 30 years of experience in the fashion industry, I’ve always been passionate about exceptional customer service and building strong relationships—skills that have consistently served me well in all my entrepreneurial ventures and that I am excited to bring to The Wandering Rose.

In 2013, I launched my own international garment sourcing company, Thread Up Sourcing. This pivotal decision allowed me to become my own boss, driven by a commitment to honesty and integrity in business practices.

In 2019, I ventured into the world of sustainability by founding Recontained, a zero waste store. Motivated by a desire to leave the world cleaner and more sustainable, Recontained quickly gained traction, surpassing projected sales in its early months. Unfortunately, like many businesses, Recontained faced challenges during the pandemic. After navigating those turbulent waters, I realized it was time to return home to Texas—a place that has always held a special place in my heart. So, I closed up shop at Thread Up Sourcing, sold Recontained and moved myself and my two pups, Cali and Willie Nelson to the Texas Hill Country. 

My experience working at a local distillery in Fredericksburg gave me my first taste of the Hill Country's vibrant wine, beer, and spirits industry. It sparked an entrepreneurial vision of how I could contribute to this burgeoning market, which attracts countless tourists eager for authentic experiences.

Thus, The Wandering Rose was born—a passion project dedicated to supporting local businesses while providing unforgettable experiences for visitors. I am excited about the opportunity to collaborate with fellow locals, strengthen community ties, and engage with the fascinating tourists who flock to the Texas Hill Country.
